This Daily Tonic Elixir promotes a healthy inflammation response in both acute and chronic conditions. It supports increased flexibility for temporary stiffness, recovery from injuries and chronic irritations. Since the time of Ayurveda (1900 BC) numerous therapeutic properties have been assigned to Turmeric including anti-inflammatory properties that address aches, pains, wounds, and sprains. Extensive research within the last half century has proven that most of these activities are due to curcumin, the ingredient that gives the herb its yellow color. Together with the other herbs, this tonic helps to support a healthy inflammatory response and nourishes exhausted tissue.

Ingredients: Turmeric root (Curcuma longa), Green tea leaf (Camellia sinensis), Chamomile flower (Matricaria recutitia), St. John's Wort flower tops (Hypericum perforatum), Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Ginger root (Zingiber offcinale).

Suggested Use

Restorative Tonic - Take 30 to 60 drops (one to two droppersful) in water 3 to 4 times daily. Preventative maintenance - Take 30 drops in water 2 to 3 times daily.
The three extracts described can be mixed in the same glass of water. They can be taken anytime during the day, with or without food.

Anti-Inflammatory Diet
Try to have lots of Omega-rich foods and different colored organically grown foods and beverages everyday. Vibrantly colored foods are high in phytonutrients that boost the immune system and have anti-inflammatory qualities.

Water: Drink 8 eight ounce glasses of good quality water daily.
Yellow and Orange Carotene and quercetin bioflavonoid-rich foods: Carrots, citrus fruits, onions, beets, yams, and sweet potatoes.
Red Lycopene-rich foods: Pink grapefruit and watermelon.
Purple Flavonoid and anthocyanadin-rich foods: Acai, blueberries, strawberries, beets, red cabbage, chard.
Green Chlorophyll-rich foods: Wild salad and braising greens, arugula, kale.
Fermented Soy: Miso, tamari, tempeh.
Legumes: Lentils, split peas, black beans, adzuki beans.
Seeds and Nuts: Sunflower, sesame, flax, almonds, pecans, and walnuts.
Healthy Oils: Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, flax oil, and fish oils.
Fish (ocean caught): Wild salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring, and halibut.
Whole Grains: Basmati rice, brown rice, wild rice, Bhutanese red rice, and quinoa.
Spices: Horseradish, wasabi, garlic, chives, ginger, black pepper, sea salt, cilantro, parsley, turmeric (curry powder), cayenne, mint, basil, rosemary, thyme, kelp, dulse, oregano, cinnamon.

Limit These Foods and Beverages

Nightshade Family Foods: Eggplant, peppers, potatoes and tomatoes.
Caffeinated Foods and Beverages: Coffee, black tea and chocolate. Caffeine stresses the adrenals, which aid in fighting inflammation.
High Allergen Foods: Peanuts and peanut butter, cow's milk, corn, soy, wheat and eggs.
Poulty or Meats: Chicken, turkey, lamb, and beef (best if raised organically). They are high in arachidonic and linoleic acid and both are pro-inflammatory in the body.
Baked Goods: Yeast and grains containing gluten, i.e. bread, wheat, oats, rye, and barley. (Flour and water make glue.)
Dairy: Ice cream, frozen yogurt, imitation eggs, milk and milk products (hormone-free is best). Limit eggs, eat only omega-3 rich and cage-free.
Beverages: Soft drinks, concentrated fruit juices, diet drinks, tap water and alcoholic drinks (red wine can trigger allergic reactions due to sulphites).
Sweeteners: Barley malt, corn syrup, sugar, artificial sweeteners (aspartame and saccharin), and glucose.
Farm-raised Fish and Shellfish.
Pork and Pork products.
Deep-fried foods.
Any foods containing MSG.

Additional Health Practices Hot Bath and Foot Bath:

Soak feet or whole body in hot water with Epsom Salts and 1 tsp. Ache-Less Rub. Helps to draw toxins out.
